Hospital Waste Management
PicThe Health Care Worker is responsible for proper handling of segregated infections and on infectious waste by disposing the color coded garbage bags as per norms laid down by WHO and municipal corporation of particular region into the designated hospital waste disposal area.

Hospital Waste Management (HWM) is a process to help ensure proper hospital hygiene and safety of health care workers and communities. It includes planning and procurement, construction, staff training and behaviour, proper use of tools, machines and pharmaceuticals, proper handling & disposal methods of all Biomedical Waste inside and outside the hospital, and evaluation.

Hospital waste management is applicable to all department & Personnel of the Hospital. By hospital waste means specially all infectious and non-infectious, general & biomedical waste generated from various clinical & other department of the hospital. It is estimated that in most of the hospital setups, about 80% of the generated waste is non infectious waste and rest 20% waste is infectious waste that is also called biomedical waste.

PicThe HCW has a crucial role in hospital to managae the biomedical waste in hospital. The HCW is responsible for segregating the infectious & non-infectious waste and putting it in a color-coded garbage bags as per norm lay down by WHO & Municipal Corporation of particular region.

After segregating the Hospital waste our HWM team collect all garbage bags to put it into a designated hospital waste disposal area.
